Today I disappear 
the last leaf
last salty seashore 
getaway last lakeside 
sunset now it’s 
nothing but muddling 
muddle through this 
muddle through that
checkers and chess
pieces through motions 
ghosts and goblins 
side by side 
all pretending that 
this is life
