Calendar

The days stretch 
now to weeks
maybe to months 
before seconds became 
minutes became hours 
and hours into 
days and days 
into nights and 
we were someone 
but just when 
we learned how 
to dance the
hour glass ran
out of precious 
sand and we 
became a calendar 
and a calamity
