Peace

Peace is this 
absence from but
not to a
breath a sigh 
whilst drifting upon 
pristinely calm water 
a quiet silence 
a gentle breeze 
and crooked smile 
a crisp bite 
into fleshy apple 
that echoes delight 
peace is that 
place oft dreamed 
but never quite 
found except here
