Gnat

Tis tsk twas
snaps of tongue 
itty bitty clicks
chosen over bites
and bitter nips
biting my ankle 
begging for attention 
and when given 
quickly running away 
what is this 
hide and seek 
make yourself known 
stand your ground 
and ask me 
but no just 
coy and demure 
and hardly deserving
be gone gnat
though natty nattering
on about importance
