Well I guess 
I should’ve known 
despite best efforts 
things don’t always 
go as planned 
but I unlike 
so many others 
rejoice if not 
invite pot holes 
boulders and the 
occasionally stumbled upon 
abyss or chasm
for to me 
I grow bored 
of being here 
and my dreams 
are the bridges 
to over there
