Desire

Desire erupts 
like so
many spring 
flowers hardens
like the 
edges of
lakes spreading 
out beyond 
hands grasp 
fingers entwine
and the
few drops 
of rain 
slowly begin 
to fall 
then as
quickly as
it arrived 
desire moves 
scarring earth 
and bed
and body
