Journey

Now after all 
and after that 
and being here 
dipping my hands 
into cold water 
and breathing air
again at last
I look around 
seeing none other 
no one else 
but this nothingness 
on I go
away from water
onto the slope 
and wonder when
next I will 
touch the sky
