Holes

Some people dig
holes to bury
things memories land
mines maybe landmarks 
of where they’ve 
been but me
I dug my
hole in deep 
like a fox
to avoid hounds
baying and nipping 
holes are easier 
to get into 
than out of 
for the only 
way out is 
the way in
be sure to 
take a ladder
