I’d thought that 
I had built 
my home better
but the littlest 
things knew how 
and precisely where 
to start picking 
and chipping away 
before I knew 
it what once 
had been gave 
way to all
and I bewildered 
thought back how 
might something unravel 
my mighty fortress
