Ball

I dog have 
have grown weary 
of this game 
throw a ball 
or a stick 
off I go
bring it back 
but no further 
do I get 
beyond here and 
then over there 
and back again 
I’ve begun to 
wonder what’s there
beyond where the 
ball or stick
lands knowing that 
one day soon
I’ll keep running 
and find out
