I sometimes think that 
dating is a lot 
like ice fishing you 
get all bundled up 
stagger out onto ice
cut a hole drop
a line and wait
and wait and wait 
Then comes a nibble 
then comes a bite 
up the line goes 
and nothing but a 
bare hook so off
you go having done 
nothing but feed the 
fishes it’s always been 
about the fishes and 
never ever about you
