Fences

I have entertained 
my wanderlust long 
enough and found 
that I find 
most happiness when 
I’m behind fences 
freedom is fun
not very productive 
I have wasted 
time and money 
looking looking looking 
for something anything 
in someone anyone 
and the only 
thing I found 
is myself back
where I started 
fences don’t prevent 
they simply contain 
my nature to 
run somewhere anywhere 
leading to nowhere
