Dull

I do enjoy dull 
finding things to polish 
and make new again 
but polishing things is 
different than polishing people 
people simply don’t change 
no matter how hard 
one rubs or shines
they remain the same 
I think now that 
people once dull remain
dull having always been 
that lackluster tired way
