Escape

Cup in hand 
water on boil
about the room
I slowly go
when out of
my eye’s corner 
I spot the 
moon breaking free
from her kidnappers 
and she glows 
with a sigh
of relief moments 
before she ducks
behind the mountains 
safe at last
