Crab

I used to
free of charge 
offer my opinion 
veiled as advice 
certain I knew 
better having learned 
tough knock lessons 
that was ego
worn as medals
on tattered suits 
and tattoos drawn 
onto inked skin 
but now after 
and this quiet 
a lemon sorbet 
cleanser meant to 
remove the last 
bits of entree
I push away 
the final course 
opting instead for 
the sea shore 
littered with little 
shells of shelter
becoming a crab
