He meant everything
At least the
Everything I had
When I offered
He stayed awhile
Maybe too long
For sometimes our
Love like milk
Sours and curdles
Becoming anything but
Recognizable to anyone
He meant everything
At least the
Everything I had
When I offered
He stayed awhile
Maybe too long
For sometimes our
Love like milk
Sours and curdles
Becoming anything but
Recognizable to anyone

we’ll just call it being “Inspired” by Manic Mike… His poem is longer than yours… and far more visceral… but so now you can write “Blue Cheese” or sumpin’ šŗ

Despite what some may think longer isnāt necessarily better

“Some” ??? Are you not speaking directly to me for any particular reason, or you get this a lot? His poems are heartfelt and laced with details that make them interesting so in his case, yes, longer is better. Hooks and anchors Harlan. You got no hooks and anchors. It’s back to the drawing board for you.

I write for myself. If someone doesnāt like it then thatās on them and not on me. I donāt compare myself to others nor do I write for others. But thanks for your comments. Cheers.

Iām inspired by life and not by someone elseās style. That ended decades ago when I found my voice. But good luck to whomever Mike is.
