Boom

It happens this way 
right before giving up 
something someone new happens 
causing one to pocket 
their detonator to delay 
the explosion or fizzle 
of yet just another 
disappointment and or frustration 
somethings never blow up 
no matter how much 
emotional dynamite one packs 
into each other’s hearts
some just sputter sizzle 
and remain dormant until 
the next flash happens
