It’s sadness I think
This cramp I’m feeling
Not due to loss
But having never yet
I’ve stumbled into sludge
And my pace slowed
I won’t make it
There by night fall
But rather shelter here
Beneath the arms of
Some leafy green trees
Strangers at first but
As the last bit
Of sun melts and
The darkness surrounds me
It’s best that I
Call this place home
