Darkness

There is a point 
When in extreme darkness 
That one becomes used
To not being able 
Not being able to 
See not being able 
To move not being 
Able to anything really 
This is when we
Agree that almost anything 
That catches our attention 
Becomes the thing rescuing 
And yet it’s not 
Its always been there
You never needed it 
Before now so why 
Assign anything more to 
It than what it 
Is your way out
Sometimes we are that
And sometimes we just 
Need that don’t be 
Fooled by something or
Someone that approaches you 
From inside yours or 
Even their own darkness
