Awhile

I do remember
now I remember
that first fall
morning when outside
we saw trees
enflamed by the
summers sun at
long last igniting
into dizzying colors
you seeing first
being in front
and I second
being in back
roaming your torso
with cautious hands
and laying little
almost guppy kisses
on your back
not too many
as to shake
leaves from trees
let us let
this be awhile
