TreeVsLeaf

It’s funny now 
that I think 
about my life 
how people admire 
my own wanderlust 
and my freedom 
to just go 
but there’s something 
to be said 
for being the 
tree rather than 
the rolling leaf
oh sure being 
a leaf has 
its good days 
but having been 
everywhere often means 
having been nowhere 
really really nowhere 
that means anything 
but being a 
tree means being 
somewhere somewhere forever
and that somewhere 
is always there
