Thunder heralded change
Clouds knew before
Me that today
Would mark newness
To my knees
But once again
Bleeding and weary
Up I stand
One more time
Or as many
Times it takes
Strength does not
Stand with those
Swinging the whip
It stands instead
With those capable
Of withstanding it
Bring about anger
Despair and pain
For my heart
Feels not that
