Awakened and sweating
Unable to shake
The demon ravens
From my minds
Canopy they roost
Hiding in dreams
Which linger like
The bitter taste
Of some pill

That my dreams

My slumber like
Thieves’s flashlights searching
For my sanity
Finding they crush
Rip and steal
Leaving me empty
Hollow and weeping
Until I turn
